YJ1-C series surge protective devices are used for lightning and overvoltage protection in AC50/60Hz, 230/400V. The product is with an internal nonserviceable separating device. When the surge protective devices is overcurrent or overvoltage and the puncture is nonserviceable, the nonserviceable separating device will automatically separate from the protector from the electrical network. And simultaneously the position display window will turn red from green.
Applicable range
When the power network is under high-impulse voltage caused by lightning or other reasons, is will damage the electrical equipment. Especially, with the spread of the using of the computer and microelectronic device, the overload protection of the low voltage power network is highly concerned. YJ1-C series surge protector devices (SPD) are the best products to protect the low voltage power network from lightning or surge over votlage.
Operational principle
In there phase four wire system, the SPD is cnnected both between the three phase wire and the earth wire and between the
null wire and the earth wire (See diagram1). Incommon situation, SPD is under high resistance,. When the power network is under surge over voltage caused by lightning or other reasons, the SPD will be immediately powered with inmillimlcro second, It
will release the surge over voltage into the earth and protect the electricale quipment connected on the power network. When the
surge voltage gets through the SPD and disappeared, the SPD will return to high resistance status. Then it will not affect the
normal operation of the power network. Diagrm1. Three phase 380V network diagram. See Diagram 2 for the single phase 220V network. See Diagram 3 for the electrical principle of the surge protective devices.
